Our Health Care Team provides nutrition advice based out of Boynton Beach

Our lead team member is Zamar McPherson, ND, RDN. She is a healthcare clinician, educator, and natural product research scientist. Dr. McPherson has a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Zamar has a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. McPherson has over 20 years of clinical experience practicing R.D.N and N.D. in various clinical venues, including leading clinical R.D. for healthcare facilities, hospitals, and nursing homes.

Additionally, Zamar has taught courses at the university level and has been a health coach for Fortune 500 corporations. Dr. McPherson also has experience as a hospital media representative providing nutrition advice on local television channel 3 KTVK in Phoenix, AZ. Her background expands to research as she has been a Clinical Research Dietitian Consultant with an institutional review board study on diabetes and metabolism. Zamar is Nutrition Director at Nourish Healthcare LLC in Palm Beach County, Florida. Dr. McPherson was also a Natural Product Research and Development Director at Ultimaxx Inc., a natural product company in South Florida. Zamar's expertise in traditional medicine and Jamaican medical ethnobotany has led to collaborations as a research associate and consultant in ethnopharmacology projects for two years with Dr. Cedric Baker of Mercer University, College of Pharmacy which was published in 2019 dealing with the molecular nutrition and pharmacology of tropical food plant. This research resulted in a poster on Translational Phytotoxicology presented at Harvard Medical School in Sept of 2019 as well as in December 2024 with A model for STEM  high school students' mentored summer research with medical students as preceptors at the Integrative Health Network Forum Harvard Medical School.
